This post deals with an interesting topic which is the Determination of sex ...
I'm very curious to know about it.... Do you. ..?
Here we go...
A person's sex is determined by two chromosomes called X and Y... Females have only two X chromosomes while males have X and Y chromosomes .
The Y chromosome is much smaller than the X chromosomes and contains fewer genes less than 100 compared to the 2000 genes on the X chromosome.
A mother's egg cell always carry X chromosome since they have only X chromosome , where as a father's sperm can carry either an X or Y chromosomes.
Determining gender :
As mother always passes X chromosome to her children . It's the father's sperm that determines the sex of a baby.
If a sperm carries an X- chromosome , the baby will be a girl . If it carries a Y - chromosome , the baby will be a boy .
.....Thank you......
