Clotting of blood is an important  mechanism because without this we cannot survive.

If we met with an accident  blood leaks out of a cut vessel and triggers the clotting process .

Protein fibres from a tangled mesh stops blood flowing. The cloat seals the damaged area, stopping further blood loss . The clot solidifies into a protective  scab while the wound heals.......

Yes,  from this we came to know about very own blood clot mechanism that happens  in our body...
